Dr. Felix Osamudiamen Iyamu is a distinguished medical professional with over three decades of dedicated service and leadership in healthcare delivery, policy formulation, and public health advancement. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Benin, a Diploma in Family Medicine from the National Postgraduate Medical College in Lagos State, and a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) from the University of Benin. His extensive academic background and clinical expertise have been pivotal in shaping his career as a healthcare leader and advocate.

Currently serving as the Chief Medical Director at Enoma Medical Centre in Benin City, Edo State since 1999, Dr. Iyamu has successfully overseen the strategic operations of the center, ensuring alignment with national health goals and best practices in patient care. His leadership has been instrumental in developing initiatives that have significantly improved healthcare infrastructure and service delivery, while fostering a culture of compliance with health regulations and ethical standards. His tenure has seen the center grow into a model healthcare facility, known for its commitment to quality and patient-centred care.

Prior to his current role, Dr. Iyamu served as a Medical Officer at Western Geophysical Company, Nigeria, where he managed occupational health programs and collaborated with various stakeholders to implement health-related initiatives. His role as a Medical Officer during his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in River State and as a House Officer at Central Hospital, Benin City, further cemented his foundation in clinical excellence and community health.

In addition to his medical career, Dr. Iyamu has demonstrated exceptional governance and leadership capabilities through his various positions within professional and civic organisations. As a former Chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) in Edo State, he effectively led advocacy efforts for healthcare reforms and budgetary allocations that have positively impacted healthcare delivery in the state. His tenure as Assistant Governor of Rotary International District 9141 further exemplifies his ability to lead diverse teams and build strong partnerships with stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and international organisations, to drive healthcare initiatives and community development.

Dr. Iyamu’s vast experience and contributions to the healthcare sector are complemented by his involvement in public service. He served as a member of the Judicial Panel of Inquiry into the Kerosene Explosion in Edo State in 2001, showcasing his competence in managing complex situations, ensuring compliance, and influencing policy decisions.

Dr. Iyamu has served as Charman of Edo State Branch of PPFN,Medical Advisor to the South South Region of PPFN and then Regional Chairman South South Region of PPFN. As Chairman he used his influence to get the Edo State Government to donate the current building housing the South South Regional Office to PPFN. He is currently a NEC Member of PPFN, representing South South Region.
