COMMERCIAL MARKETING ADVISOR

Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria (PPFN) is at the forefront of ensuring universal access to sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). Through service delivery, advocacy, partnerships, and capacity strengthening, we empower women, men, and young people with life-saving services, education, and support across Nigeria.

We are seeking a Commercial Marketing Advisor to strengthen the financial sustainability and commercial performance of Planned Parenthood Federation Nigeria.

This role is ideal for an experienced marketer who is passionate about improving health outcomes, skilled at driving consumer demand and motivated to help mission-driven organizations adopt more commercially focused, data-driven approaches.

You will work closely with a global marketing & commercial sustainability team, as well as the local clinic teams to build demand for SRHR services, elevate brand visibility, and deliver measurable growth in clinic footfall, service inquiries and patient satisfaction.

This role will be required to support other industry-similar organizations, internationally based, as and when required.

1. POSITION: COMMERCIAL MARKETING ADVISOR

LOCATION: NHQ, ABUJA

Job Type: Initial term of 12 months

Benefits: From N800,000.00 to N 890,000.00 Net Pay, commensurate to the experience of the applicant 

 

Your Role:

Strategy, Planning & Market Insight

    • Work with the UK-based global commercial sustainability team to refine and implement a 12-month commercial marketing strategy
    • Translate strategic objectives into monthly campaign calendars aligned with service priorities
    • Provide market insights and client centered recommendations to strengthen the end-to-end patient journey (offline and digital) centered recommendations to strengthen the end-to-end patient journey (offline and digital)
    • Develop and apply tools to track brand perception, audience sentiment, and local demand drivers
    • Train and mentor local marketing teams on commercial best practice and consumer-focused approaches
    • Collaborate with the service delivery and communication teams to enhance the organization’s visibility among policy makers and the general public
    • Perform any other related duties as assigned.

 

What You Bring:

Marketing Execution

    • Strengthen commercial marketing capability, leading the development and implementation of commercial marketing activity and communications
    • Lead the management of social media presences (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and others), ensuring strong service-focused messaging, content quality, and brand consistency
    • Plan and optimize paid digital campaigns with a clear focus on customer experience, conversion, and ROI
    • Identify and oversee implementation of outdoor advertising, clinic signage, community engagement activities, and other visibility tactics
    • Coordinate traditional media buys (radio, TV, print), ensuring compelling content that supports both brand-building and service demand
    • Manage website updates and create dedicated landing pages to support marketing campaigns
    • Conduct audience segmentation and adapt messaging, positioning, and media mix accordingly
    • Support clinic-level branding improvements, internal comms, and patient facing materials to enhance experience and satisfaction
    • Support the organization to adopt a long-term, sustainable, commercially minded approach to marketing

 

Requirements:

    • Master’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, Communications, Advertising, Economics, Public Relations, Digital Marketing.
    • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or related field.
    • 5 years’ Minimum experience in commercial or corporate marketing positions.
    • Proven experience launching or promoting products in African markets.
    • Proven experience marketing direct to consumers with evidence of managing consumer-focused campaigns.
    • Experience working within the healthcare industry would be desirable but not essential.
    • Strong communication and analytical skills.
    • Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and supporting capacity building initiatives.
    • Experience working across multiple countries is a strong advantage.
