Purpose: Door to door sensitization and mobilization of community members for the uptake of COVID-19 vaccines in FCT, Kano, and Kaduna.
Objective: To sensitize, mobilize and refer community members for uptake of COVID-19 vaccines at the nearest healthcare center providing COVID-19 vaccines.
Requirements, Educational Background and Experience
- The individual must be a community health extension worker (CHEW)
- Should be between ages of 18 -35
- Should demonstrate experience in community mobilization and must be able to communicate in the English and local language (Hausa).
- Significant experience in immunization or vaccines work is an added advantage.
- Should reside within the community/ LGA
- Demonstrate competence in meeting deadlines with attention to details and quality.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills.
- Demonstrate ability and willingness to take initiative and be flexible depending on changing priorities and deadlines.
Job Summary
- Educating community members on the benefit of COVID-19 vaccines.
- Door-to-door mobilization of community members for COVID-19 vaccination.
- Work with community leaders and trained healthcare workers to address issues of vaccine hesitancy in community members.
- Refer community members to a close healthcare facility administering COVID-19 vaccines.
- Report community cases of AEFI to healthcare workers.
- Meet monthly allocated targets for mobilization
